The Sonet Acoustic Privacy System offers the same, high quality digital sound masking technology large corporations employ, but is packaged into a low-cost, off-the-shelf solution that doesn't require any specialized knowledge or training to set up. It's suitable for use in spaces as small as 50 sq feet and can treat up to 500 sq. ft. It was designed specifically to address individual needs for speech privacy and to reduce noise intrusion and distractions. Highly effective The Sonet System is a highly effective individual masking solution. The use of Multi-Channel Technology along with a broader range of volume control increases its ability to cover unwanted voices and other noises. It is recommended that you initially set the volume at a comfortable level, even if it doesn't provide the desired level of privacy. Your ears will quickly become accustomed to the new sound, and you can gradually increase the volume (over about a week to 10 days) as needed to increase your privacy level. It is effective against: * Barking dogs * Traffic noise * Neighbor's stereo * Snoring * Slamming doors * TV The Sonet System will help with almost any problem noises. It will reduce the degree to which you hear these noises anywhere from 15-100 percent, depending on considerations such as the volume and frequency of the intruding noise, as well as the volume level at which you can comfortably use the Sonet System. More Comfortable Sound The Sonet System produces a sound like the gentle whoosh of a high-quality HVAC system. Since the sound is absolutely constant but has no structure, the brain simply tunes it out - just like you have tuned out the noise from the fans in your computer. You hear the fans, but how often do you actually notice them? The Sonet System uses New-Patented Digital "Qt Quiet" Technology™," featuring Dual-Channel (stereo) masking. The result is that the masking sound fills the room evenly, providing superior coverage. It is effective in helping to cover hundreds of miscellaneous noises that might otherwise disturb your sleep without adding a counter-productive annoyance. The result is more comfortable sound, and therefore more comfortable and more easily attainable relaxation and sleep. Installs in Minutes The Sonet System was designed and engineered so that anyone could quickly unpack and set up the system. It comes with a Volume Control Unit that plugs into any standard wall outlet. Wiring is as simple as connecting modular telephone cords between the Volume Control Unit and Emitters. Thin plastic plates can be attached to the wall using a small screw, and Velcro is used to hold the Emitters to the plastic plates. The Sonet System speakers can also be placed on the night stands by the bed. Each volume control unit can support up to six emitters. A basic Sonet System comes with two emitters, and can treat a room of up to 120 sq. ft. For rooms larger than 120 sq. ft., add at least one emitter for each additional 75 sq. ft.
